It was also approved to reduce the number of intestinal polyps associated with a genetic disorder called familial adenomatous polyposis. Does Celebrex Cure Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis?No. Celebrex is used to treat the pain and inflammation caused by these conditions. There is currently no cure for rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. What health risks are associated with the use of Celebrex?
Who should not take Celebrex?You should not take Celebrex if you have had allergic reactions to sulfa drugs, have had asthma, hives, or other allergic reactions to aspirin or other NSAIDs. This may include ibuprofen, naproxen, ketkprofen or diclofenac. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant and are taking Celebrex, talk to your physician immediately. |
